Tiger Character Turnaround

Character Design

After a few amendments for my character, I finally had finalize my character design. So, for this semester, I only focus on the tiger character and will make a new story on how she changes from a baby tiger into a little girl wearing this tiger costume.

Next, I will update with my new storyboard before finally I focus on how to change this 2D character into 3D character using Autodesk Maya.

Character Design Sketches and Colour

Character Design

After had some discussion with Phil last week, he had advice me to make a proper turn around and put some colour into my drawing. We had agree to choose only one character for this semester to had 2D character and 3D character base on what I had done.

So I had draw a new one and try to add colour to this turn around manually. I start again from sketch on my sketch book before I move to the computer for this character design. I also had change a little bit of my turn around character and add some more costume to cover her mouth.

Here are my sketches development until basic colour for this character.

Tiger Costume Sketches

Character Design

So I continue to develop my character and I'm trying to draw it in Photoshop. I'm still want to use a kid as my character but my drawing here look like a teen. I'm experiment this drawing with two style of hair to look how it will flow out from the hoodie and yes I'm really not sure is it the right way to draw human face.

The red hair on the right image is not for tiger costume, but I'm just trying to draw the red hair in this costume. ^_^

Reading Week 4

Character Design

Character Development

I sketch a little bit about my idea and what I have in my mind. A little bit of my storyline but I need to polish it a little bit to make it smoother.

First, I have a little Malay girl wearing a Malayan Tiger costume.

Next, is the Monkey King costume wearing by a funny little Chinesse boy.

Then, a nice little Indian girl with her snake costume.

Lastly, A fun and happy go lucky girl from Scotland wearing her deer costume.

Colour Test on the Character Design

I do some modification when I'm drawing it back in the computer. I put some colour to test and have a feel about this character. It still in the development stage so there will be a lot of changes to do.
